CEU Communication and Media Students Shine at Radio Veritas Campus Hour Awards
Centro Escolar University Manila and Malolos campuses’ Communication and Media students brought pride after earning three major awards and six nominations at the recent Radio Veritas Campus Hour Awards.
Representing CEU Manila, Sinag Centro emerged as one of the night’s top winners, receiving Best Program Promotional Campaign and Best Male Anchor awards. Meanwhile, standing out among entries from 10 universities across Metro Manila and nearby provinces, CEU Malolos’ Siklab Alakdan was recognized with the Best Drama Segment award.
The Radio Veritas Campus Hour Awards recognize excellence in campus radio broadcasting and provide students with a unique hands-on experience in the industry. As part of the program, the student teams were given the opportunity to manage and host a full radio show for an entire month, which included conceptualizing content, producing segments, and creating their own original radio drama.
These achievements were made possible through the guidance and mentorship of Mr. Jose Cris Sotto, CEU Manila Communication and Media Program Head, Mrs. Marietta Alvarez, CEU Malolos Communication and Media Program Head, Mr. Marshal Louie Asis, and Mr. Kane Choa, who closely supported the students throughout the production and broadcasting process.
