All CEU Campuses Granted Anew CHED Autonomous Status

25 September 2024

Centro Escolar University campuses in Manila, Makati and Malolos earned anew the Autonomous status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as part of its latest cycle of institutional recognition for private higher education institutions (PHEIs).

In CHED Memorandum Order No. 7, Series of 2024, CEU was named among the select 77 institutions granted this status, effective from September 16, 2024, to September 15, 2027.

The CHED Autonomous status speaks of CEU’s commitment to academic excellence and its sustained leadership in providing premier higher education.

To qualify for the cited status, institutions must demonstrate exemplary performance in three key areas: Program Excellence, Instruction, Scholarly Works, and Community Engagements, and Institutional Quality and Excellence.

CEU’s continuous quality pursuits of these areas have maintained its standing among the country's leading higher education institutions.
